Update fly tipping
Update - Fly Tipping - Glen Massan - Dunoon
Following last week’s Alert including disgusting images, in relation to Fly Tipping in the beauty spot of Glen Massan, near Dunoon, I received a number of message responses.
I am pleased to inform you all that tonight, an individual was arrested, charged and reported to the Procurator Fiscal for a contravention of the Environmental Protection Act 1990.
A particular response through Rural Watch proved pivotal in the enquiry and along with our social media platforms – this incident attracted widespread interest.
I would again like to take the opportunity to thank you all for your support of Rural Watch, whether that be through message response or further sharing in your communities by emailing to non-members or printing for local notice boards for those harder to reach.
We would appear to have our rural area well covered through our Community Policing our two-way communication and long may this continue – and grow. Positive detections can only encourage further sign-up to the Watch and your assistance with this is appreciated as we see individuals joining daily.
Information will always be treated confidentially.
Keep up the great work!
